A superb general-purpose lens, Canon’s EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM is equally at home on the EOS 400D and the ‘full frame’ EOS 5D cameras, giving a focal length range equivalent to 38.4 to 168mm on the former. Compact for its specifications, it is relatively light and comfortable to use as well as being very well built.
In the classic 24-105mm focal length, we already have the Canon RF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM, and the RF 24-105mm f/4-7.1 IS STM meeting both the professional and enthusiast ends of the spectrum. If you need a wider aperture, Canon also makes the professionals' go-to lens – the Canon RF 24-70mm f/2.8L IS USM.

Simply put, the EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS II USM is the best full-frame standard zoom Canon has made covering this broad focal range, but if you feel you can make do without the extra reach it offers

I like it more than the 24-70 F2.8L, witch is big and no IS. I bought this zoom when it came out ans still you it with lots of pleasure.
I have a Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM. After using this lens for a day or so, I have noticed a problem with the image stabilizer. It works fine with slow shutter speeds at F/4, but causes a lot of image blur at higher F stops. I took the same picture at 1/10sec and F/18 with the IS switched on and then off.
