When using CARplay with a mobile phone navigation tool like Apple Maps, Google Maps or Waze the MMI automatically disables the native Audi MMI Maps. You can still use the Native MMI Maps and car play at the same time. You just need to make sure that all nav apps are closed on your phone. IMHO I hate the MMI.
