Make sure the rear defroster switch and the ignition key are turned on. Disconnect both wires from either side of the defroster grid and touch one end of your tester to each wire. 3. Remove the interior quarter window lower sill trim by pulling it up and off the window sill. 4. Remove the exterior lower sill trim. This just pries straight up and off the car.
